Treasures

Most days when I go to pick up SportyB from school I am blessed with the smile of mommy arriving, sand filled shoes (not sure really if that is a blessing but a sign he had fun) and pockets full of treasures. At his school the teachers throw confetti all over the sand playground and during their outdoor play time they can hunt for treasures. Now what do you do with treasures once they are home you ask? Well you CAN'T throw them away!! So we started saving them in a little bag and he knows to empty his pockets before they make it to the laundry room (and we have a bowl outside that we are currently filling with the sand from his shoes if you were wondering). So Monday he came home from school with his Valentine bag to decorate for his party and I asked what he wanted to do.
SportyB: hey mommy, come down here (to his height) I have a great idea

mom kneels down
SportyB (with his hand cupped up to my ear): we can glue my treasures on the bag with my new sparkle glue from Aunt Jenn
mom with a huge smile: that would be a great idea - you get the glue and I'll grab the treasures

The finished project to be filled with L.O.V.E

On another note: we have a sick house.. BabyB has her first ear infection and was a first timer at the drug store. SportyB has a bad cough. Daddy came down with fever stuffy head. Mommy is loving all from a distance and loading up on VitC

You're a rockin mom- I dump the sand out before they get in the car. I also "lose" the treasures my guys come home with- they have treasure box on Fridays but the treasures are usually little junk toys like at the dentist office. Airborne is my friend-I have 2 sickos right now too!
