Happy Halloween

In spirit of Halloween my beach or bust post is going to be a little more delayed for those that have been waiting. We did finally make it to the pumpkin patch and we did finally get the costumes done - whewww what a week. After our attempts to get a one good shot of them, Sporty Bee had said I'm done holding her now can you take her.. that is the pumpkin he picked out all by himself in the picture with them.

Baby Bee had a good time watching her brother run around and was very interested in the hay we sat her in.. so much she tried to taste it!! Everything goes into the mouth these days.

We weren't able to get one family shot so while Sporty Bee was running around dad got one of just Baby Bee and mommy and then daddy was going to take one with Sporty Bee but he wanted his sister in the picture too. Here is a video clip of Sporty Bee playing in a hay pile, he didn't want to leave when it was time to go. He must of ran and jumped in about 20times. Happy Halloween to everyone

The Little Business that could

Have you ever been so busy that you just don't know where the time past has gone. You have the memories and the pictures and hours are put in at work, but October is almost over and the holidays are around the corner (folks Christmas is less then 65 days way and counting) doesn't that blow your mind WHERE HAS THE YEAR GONE!??!?! Here we are a week away from Halloween I don't have costumes for the kids yet - hope to be done by Sunday, and we don't have pumpkins yet - although if you buy them too early in FL they rot before Halloween. This year has gone WAY to fast and I'm sure each year is going to continue -

Ok there is my fast rant on how fast time goes. We went on a trip last weekend to the beach and I hope to have pictures posted by the weekend (seems like I'm going to have a busy/fast weekend with everything I have to do better start my list now before I forget something fast). anywhooooo... here is a fun picture of the kids that my sister took while visiting

and make sure you take a second (or two or three or four) for yourself as today is going to be gone before you know it and tomorrow is fast behind.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Ok so we are all aware that this month is BCA month (you do know right.. I mean you better know and if you don't make this your being known) and everyone wears pink and does fundraising .. but today I couldn't believe my eyes and I'm still giggling about it.. and of course TODAY of all days I forgot my camera although I did try to take one with my cell phone.. I ran an errand for work and was leaving our local Publix and noticed a van (old style ford mini van) going up the wrong way. So I glanced back to see that they were going to back into a parking spot and noticed something hanging from their review mirror.. Thought to self.. I didn't know they made pink handicap signs... so I looked again and saw this..

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT... LOL hanging in their car from their review mirror was one of those door hangers on self breast exams..

You can't really make it out but knowing what it is just has to put a smile on your face.. but just not something you'd expect to see hanging from someones review mirror.. gotta love it!

Thank you boat Captain

While my sister was in town Mr. Campbell was nice enough to take us out on his boat (we missed you Mrs. Campbell and girls). Although we got a late start and I won't go into WHY, the weather was beautiful but the water was...

Doesn't this just want to make you eat her up (her shirt says 'Sometimes Stinky Always Sweet') I would like to add that our little sleeping beauty has FINALLY slept through the night on Thursday Oct. 16, 2008 AND Friday.. please keep your fingers crossed - to be continued

The little fish that could

When we first built the house in '05 and put in the pool one of my mommy requirements was a fence around the pool (I also think it's code), so it became my job to find someone to get bids. Ok I could handle that ONE thing out of everything else that KingB was doing in preparation on finalizing the house to be able to move in. The fence was up, I was happy and we moved in. KingB, the fish that he is, grew up around water and felt that having a fence was a great protection but learning out to swim was just as important on making sure that gate was closed every time. SO he made sure that year to teach SportyB how to swim - he was turned 2 when we moved in and by the end of swim season he was swimming with deflated floaties. Of course by next swim season it was starting all over again but he picked it up fast! and the little fish he became. This year being the hype of Micheal Phelps during the Olympics that was all SportyB would ever talk about is being fast like Micheal Phelps, 'hey mommy is this 'food' going to make me fast like Micheal Phelps? {Thank you to Mr. Phelps for getting my kid to eat all the RIGHT foods this year}.. SportyB goes from one end of the pool to the other, dives, cannon balls, can openers and even some jumps that requires mommy to close her eyes as she can't watch HE'S ONLY 4 FOLKS!! But my little guy thinks he is going to do the cannon ball in the Olympics someday - how can you argue with that.. He says next year he will teach his sister how to swim fast like him. Goodbye, Adios, Ja-ne

We said goodbye to The Vos Family (see picture above) last week, his job took them to KY. Rob was one of KingB's oldest longest friends in Tallahassee and SportyB's God Father. Their family will be missed.

Surprises can be wonderful and at a time of need

So last Friday had just been one of those days, the grueling last work day of the week in hopes for a great weekend of family and fun. I received a call on my cell phone while still at work that wasn't good news, news that we had expected at some point but I guess never really prepared for. My G-ma had passed away in her sleep the night before. I am grateful for my trip with the two kids by myself to STL in early August to drive from STL with my sister and the two kids to Michigan for a less then 24hr trip for a much needed family reunion. With living in FL - getting up to Michigan is not an easy task and I must say it's been far too long that I've made that trip. But today I'm MORE then glad I did.
I tried calling my sister (on her cell) no answer so I tried at the house and got her husband Matt he proceeded to tell me she was sleeping as she had 'worked' the night before (which if I would of been in my right mind I would of KNOWN she didn't work the night before cause I had talked to her - DUH) so I told him and he said he would have her call me. I only had a little time left at work so I wrapped things up for the day and on my way home attempted to call her again (no answer) attempted to call my husband (no answer) and so I called my step mom and she had said 'well hasn't Jenn told you' - I told her I haven't been able to get a hold of Jenn and just getting off work.. long pause - got off the phone and again tried Jenn and text Matt asking if she was ok and no response... WHY ISN"T ANYONE answering when I need to talk to someone?!?!?!?! Frustrated walking into the house - it all comes together.. my surprise All I could do is cry.. Very happy to have my sister at a time like this. Love you G-ma

A Day at the beach

Two weekends ago daddy was out of town enjoying the football game in Jacksonville so my BFF's and I took the kiddos to the beach. The weather was beautiful and the kids had fun even though the water was chilly (and yes they still managed to get in). They even got to see dolphins

Excited Big Brother

Ever since we brought BabyB home SportyB has been wanting to feed her her bottle. With nursing he hasn't been able to do so but with me back to work and she is now in school and taking the bottle during the day just great so the other night he was VERY excited to finally be able to feed her a bottle. He was so proud that she took it all for him.

Not a Paci girl anymore

Not a paci girl anymore!! We have moved on to bigger and better things - the fingers! She doesn't have favorite fingers, it's really what makes it in there at the moment of need. We had our 4mo DR appointment yesterday. She's doing well but did NOT like those shots that is for sure, OUCH!!! She's 12lbs and 8oz and 24 1/4 inches long. SportyB is still loven his little sister so much. He said the other day he can't wait until she gets bigger so he can squeeze her harder as he just wants to squeeze her he loves her so much.. Until then he knows he has to be gentle
