Is that an EGG on your head

Boys will be boys won't they: we got a call the other day from SportyB's school saying he had taken a fall and they couldn't get his nose to stop bleeding. KingB went to go check things out and took him home for the day (but not before they stopped to get some much needed ice cream of course). After I get home he was in much better spirits (thank you daddy for such great care) and I kept teasing him about the egg on his head - Hey SportyB did you color an Easter egg on your head? Hey SportyB can I hide that Easter egg on your head. He thought it was pretty funny too. The picture really doesn't do it justice though. I'm not really sure how he managed to do this but something about pushing a truck and fell while doing so. But not only did he get the HUGE egg on his head with a scrape over the egg, a scrape on the middle of his nose, a scrape under the other side of his nose.. BUT also scraped the middle of his tongue! I asked him if he was running with his tongue hanging out like the doggies and he laughed and said no, that he was talking to a friend..

The BIG roll

This past Wednesday (9-24-08) I picked BabyB up from school and her teacher said 'she was rolling all over the place today and had to keep putting her back on the quilt during play time.' What a BIG deal in the baby world, so we proceeded home to try and catch it on video - which we did.. however, turn DOWN the volume as 'someone' was a little too excited in the back ground... you've been warned :)

With 'someone' being made fun of - we attempted to catch the roll again the next night and here is what we caught.

During the sit and wait process she was talking up a storm so I thought I would add that to this post as well

TMNT

Friday nights before a home football game we have a down town get down. And we usually try to go to hang out with friends and get the kids out doors for some fun (free) activities. SportyB was wanting to get his face painted as we were leaving one night and I had told him we could do it at the NEXT get down. Well of course, as any kid would, he asked me EVERYDAY following if it was Friday yet and when would we be going to the next get down, cause he wasn't about to forget or let me forget for that matter. So we continued to count down to Friday - YEAH it's Friday. As soon as we got there 'mommy can I get my face painted?' 'Yes bubby we are going right now' and OH MY the line was long as they were just setting up. So we must of waited 30 minutes and we get up there, she puts him in the seat and asked what he wanted - a Ninja Turtle. She turned and looked at me and said 'he wants a Ninja Turtle, is that ok?' 'Sure, if you can do that' HUGE smile on her face and shook her head (she seemed very excited) and here is our Raphael

Here is one of Raphael and Daddy

SportyB also loves to flirt with the ladies and spots EVERY cheerleader while down town. He was So excited when one came up to say hello to him and agreed to take a picture, but I think the look on his face says it all.

Pirate Boots

So the other night SportyB was taking a bath in the 'big bath' as he calls it and he was playing around as kids do. When I had gone back in there I found him with two large stadium cups on his feet and he was walking around the tub very carefully while holding on to the side (cause he kept slipping) with this HUGE grin on his face. I started laughing and asked him what he was doing - he proceeded to tell me in a very serious voice with a straight face 'why are you laughing at me mommy these are my pirate boots' - 'hmm your pirate boots huh bubby, can mommy go get her camera' - 'sure mommy you can take a picture of me in my pirate boots' and here it is folks SportyB in his pirate boots..

Holy Banana-Spider (Miller)

So I was driving home the other day down our driveway looking out at the woods and slammed on the breaks and put it in reverse because I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Never before have I experienced such a HUGE spider. I got the kids unloaded safely in the house, grabbed my camera and headed back down the driveway. My camera was focusing on everything else BUT the massive thing in the center of it's enormous web and I wasn't about to get any closer - so I text KingB saying how HUGE it was; (he calmly told me to call pest control but I told him it was outside) the size of a small mouse.. the palm of my hand!!... And when he got home he needed to get a picture of it! So after he got home we headed back down the driveway and I pointed from far away and said 'THERE' he proceeded to tell me it was JUST a Banana-Spider and that it was harmless.. HOWEVER, I think anything that big and creepy looking is by far harmless.. He got some great pictures of it as it is rather impressive - almost big enough to be given a name, I mean it would fit in with the family Banana-Spider Miller. (Yes, these are the actual pictures take from our drive way) Thank you Bran for the photo

P.S The next night I came across a SMALL snake in the garage.. Did I mention I don't do the great outdoors very well as I don't like critters, creepy-crawlers or anything slimy, jumpy or anything else that falls in those categories. And the day after that there was a MASSIVE grasshopper on the side of my car (size of my entire hand).. yeah guess it just wasn't my week.

Watching your Ps & Qs

We have a standard rule in our house which is no cuss words around the kids and for the most part we are pretty darn good about it. A couple times it has gone noticed that we have apparently slipped up a time or two when SportyB uses damn or damn-it (in the correct context too I might add). But recently it has been brought to our attention that SportyB is learning German, yeah that sounds great doesn't it?? But don't get WOW'd yet.. Here I thought I was being slick in one of my 'slip up episodes' by using Shiza (which is a German cuss word meaning sh*t). So the other night he comes in from the garage saying it clear as day (NOT in the correct context thank goodness) - so although he has the pronunciation down he has no clue what he is really saying.. moral of story Pete and RePete are on a boat, Pete falls off, who is left?
